Syd Adams is a student at Maine College of Art and Design earning their BFA in Animation, focusing on 2D character design and animation. Adams has worked collaboratively on the short films Dino Nuggets and Off Track as an animator, character designer, and 2D ToonBoom Harmony rigger. Their films have been screened at Animation Planet film festival, Streetside Cinema festival, and New York Cinemafest. Their films have also been official selections in the New York Film & Cinematography Awards Film Festival and in the Los Angeles Movie and Music Video Awards. “Off Track” won Best in Show at the Maine College of Art & Design Film Festival in 2024, and it was selected as a semi-finalist in Moldova’s Serbest International Film Festival.
Adams enjoys developing personable characters who are trying their best to navigate through their day to day lives.The films they have worked on are filled with light-hearted wonder, as seen in whimsical characters and surrealist landscapes. Adams hopes the films they work on will leave viewers with joyful bubbly feelings.They are looking to join a studio team where they can collaborate on designing and animating 2D characters for animated shorts, series, and features.
